This is the 7th year we’ve hosted an auction and our community has supported Financial Aid at The Haven. They say that the 7th wave in the ocean is the biggest one — we’re hoping that proves true with this auction!
This year, we’ve been lucky to receive a myriad of generously donated products and services from local people and businesses. All proceeds will be directed to our Financial Aid program, which helps support participants with financial barriers to access programs at The Haven.
It’s a win-win: as the top bidder, you take home a coveted product or service and at the same time, you support someone to join us in 2019. Learn more about the positive impact you can have on a person’s life by supporting our Financial Aid program here.

A Come Alive program is up for grabs! Each of The Haven Bodyworkers have also donated gift certificates, so you can treat yourself to a session with Elfi, Gary, Suzanne, Martie, or/and Kelly. You can pick up some snacks at Village Foods, grab lunch at MadRona’s, get dressed at North Road Sports or The Hive, go for a kayak adventure at Silva Bay, receive a healing Bach Flower consultation, check out the Cultivate festival next summer, and get an oil change with Richard!
If you’re in need of gifts for the holidays, we’ve got you covered. The auction is brimming with coffee table books (and Gabriola coffee beans!), mixed media work by talented local artists, woodcarvings, historical Haven memorabilia, emergency go-kits from Arbutus Home Building Centre, a meditation cushion from Nature Spirit Earth Market, musical instruments, silk and linen jackets, tie-dye, hula hoops, hand-crafted wool socks, and more!
If you’re off-island (or want to be), you can fly return with Gulf Island Seaplanes Silva Bay-YVR, stay in Westshore at the Holiday Inn, or visit Lummi Island.
There really is something for everyone, thanks to all who donated products and services to the auction this year.
