The next time you come to The Haven, you may notice some changes to our menus. Our goal is to offer lighter, healthier and more nutrient dense options.
The primary objective of food services at The Haven is to support you, our program and conference participants, and leader teams with delicious, nutritious meals. We’ve done well to date, and we plan to do even more. Here’s some of what we are focusing on:
- We want to serve whole, naturally energizing foods further reducing our use of refined sugars and other highly-processed ingredients, so watch for new kinds of desserts at dinner.
- We will increase the amount of protein in our vegetarian features.
- We will continue serving meat, and in line with both health and environmental recommendations, we will provide healthier cuts and portions and reduce the amount of animal protein overall.
- We want to better serve those who come to us with severe food sensitivities.
