Haven Speakers are members of our education leadership team, core faculty and assistants. All are highly skilled, with a wide range of interests, and speak with personal and embodied experience of their topics.
Cathy McNally Cathy McNally BSc, DipC is passionate about people and possibility. Growing up in a mix of cultures, with a background in business and teams, Cathy is curious about the gift of differences, and is committed to connection and understanding. A particular joy is coaching relationships of all kinds. She believes that “living well, together” is necessary, urgent, and possible.
Elfi Dillon-Shaw RMT, DipC has worked at The Haven since 1984. She has a depth of expertise in areas related to sexuality, body practices and stress management, and created and teaches The Haven’s core program Sexual Intelligence. She is a BC Registered Massage Therapist, also offering Craniosacral Therapy, Chi Nei Tsang Taoist Belly massage, Reiki and other modalities.
Jane Olynyk Jane Olynyk DTCM, BA, DipC is a counsellor, acupuncturist, and group facilitator and The Haven’s Director of Intern Training. She leads Come Alive, New Horizons: Phase III, Five Elements Practicum, Sensational Contact, Connective Touch, and Dynamic Empathy. Blending Eastern and Western medicine and psychology, she offers a truly holistic view of working with body, mind and spirit.
Jennifer Hilton CEC, DipC, Nia® Green Belt is an empathetic coaching practitioner, facilitator and a student and teacher of the Nia Technique®. Her passion is building relationships and enabling people from all walks of life to reach their full potential. Her professional background includes developing leadership programs and transforming organizational culture. Jennifer has a Graduate Certificate in Executive Coaching from Royal Roads University.
Linda Nicholls DipC, MTC, PhD is an adventuresome and masterful group facilitator and speaker who integrates her diverse experiences in programs for those interested in personal transformation and strengthening relational skills. Her depth of experience and knowledge is reflected in the many programs she teaches at The Haven and internationally, on topics such as body and breath work, grieving, depression, and boundaries.
Susan Clarke Susan Clarke MA-ABS, DipC is co-founder of Thrive! Inc. with CrisMarie Campbell. Susan’s journey through a life-threatening illness informs her commitment to living life full out. She writes and presents widely with CrisMarie; recent highlights are her TEDx talk with CrisMarie entitled “Conflict: Use It, Don’t Defuse It!” and her Leadership Mojo Intensives. She has led Come Alive for over 20 years, as well as Living Alive Phase I and Couples Alive.
Toby Macklin MA, DipHCS leads Come Alive, Living Alive Phase I, New Horizons: Phase III and Dynamic Empathy. As a writer, editor and graphic designer he has collaborated on several books with Haven founders Ben Wong and Jock McKeen. Having lived and worked in Egypt, Cyprus, and the Czech Republic, he is now based in Victoria with his partner of 20 years and their two children. He also works with Syrian and other refugees recently arrived in Canada.
While Haven Speakers are available across Canada and the United States, and other countries, most reside within the BC lower mainland and on Vancouver Island. We strive to make Haven Speakers available at a reasonable cost that would include travel expenses and per diem.
Presentations, talks and keynotes are typically 30-90 minutes long. Custom programs may be arranged.
