Sheila Marentette

Sheila Marentette: I acknowledge that I am blessed to live work and play as an uninvited guest on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Okanagan and Syilx people. So thankful for those who walked on these lands before and care for the lands today. I was born and raised on the lands of the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation. I am of mixed ancestry – my mother is Scandanavian descent and my father is French and Archigantegou from Quebec. I am a very proud mom of 4 adult children, a partner to my soulmate, a sister, aunt and friend. My pronouns are she and her.

By education, Sheila is a nurse and has worked for the military as a nurse. She has worked in most provinces throughout Canada with a focus in home care and primary care. When the Red Cross Psychological First Aid course rolled out, I was honored to be one of the first students and instructors trained, and can honestly say this course can change your life and build resiliency within individuals, families and communities.

Each webinar has a Haven Host who introduces or interviews the guest speaker, and in some cases takes Q&A from…
