Launch: Youth Leadership Development Program Waiting List
With Denise Goldbeck
July 15 - 20, 2021
“Becoming a leader is synonymous with becoming yourself, it is precisely that simple and it is also that difficult” – Warren Bennis.
The youth leadership development program provides opportunities to learn hands-on leadership skills from other youth. Studies show that youth-led leadership training is more effective, engaging with longer-lasting benefits, youth-led programs are hard to find. We are lucky to have a long-running youth-led program with a talented alumnus who are well-versed in many useful psychological models and leadership techniques that help develop excellent leaders. Learning is done through play, of course, since we all know that this is the best way to learn. So be prepared for lots of games and laughter while you develop the self-awareness, speaking abilities and a deep understanding of the type of leader you are and where you want to go with your personal development.
Youth leaders have unique power to make the world a better place – generally beyond their reckoning. The world seems very large and the problems facing the world today are many and complex. Starting from your particular perspective, you can make the positive difference you want to see in the world.
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Margaret Mead
This year our youth leadership development will have a special focus. Getting back together – what we learned – what we now value more than ever – the way we play together.
This program is for youth ages 13-21 years.
Youth 13-18 years must have an adult staying with them during the program. Meal packages are available for caregivers and family not attending the program.
Cost for the youth participant is $800 for program tuition plus meal package. Accommodation charges will be included with the adult room booking for youth 18 years and under, or added to the registration for any youth participants 19 years and older.
Accommodation packages for this 5 day program start at $610.
